Brenda's Sugar & Spice Nuts

1 tbsp melted butter
1 egg white, slightly beaten
2 cups shelled, whole pecans
1 cup sugar
½ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp cinnamon
¾ tsp nutmeg
¾ tsp allspice

Preheat oven to 300. Slowly mix melted butter into beaten egg white. Stir in pecans to coat them. Mix sugar and spices together in a large Ziploc bag. Add pecans to bag and shake to coat nuts. Pour coated nuts into a shallow pan (cookie sheet works well). Make sure to grease or “Pam” the pan as this will be a sticky mess after it’s baked. Bake the nuts for 15 to 20 minutes or until the pecans have a light brown color. Remove pecans from oven and stir gently to separate. Cool and store in a tightly closed container.

You can use almonds, too.

This will make your house smell wonderful while they are baking!
